Coaching Conservation® is Wild Entrust’s environmental education programme with a difference, inspiring children to care about wildlife and the challenges that wild animals face.
Conservation messages are taught with the help of animal mentors in an interactive and fun environment through the medium of sport, mainly football, with strategies and techniques on the field explained in terms of the roles and behaviours of wild animals. This encourages the children to learn about wildlife by harnessing their natural enthusiasm for sport. As they learn, not facts and figures but characters and actions, they develop empathy for the animals they have learned about, and from. This ground-breaking outreach model is really changing attitudes towards wildlife and conservation, with over 120,000 children to date having learned the inherent value of animals while positively shifting their attitudes.

How Tusk works with Our Project Partners
We provide critical funding to enable our project partners to grow and increase their impact on habitat and wildlife, while also enabling, nurturing and supporting collaboration between them, for greater synergy and impact.
We help to increase awareness and wider support for our partners’ efforts, while also sharing important conservation messages, from the vital and varied roles of wildlife rangers, to the benefits of community-driven conservation, both within Africa and internationally.
