The Lewa Safari Marathon, organised by Tusk in partnership with the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, is regarded as one of the world’s top ten marathons.

The annual Tusk Lewa Safari Marathon has raised nearly £9 million for frontline conservation, schools and healthcare initiatives across Kenya, providing vital funding to projects protecting endangered species and supporting the livelihoods of rural communities living alongside wildlife.

The 2025 event took place at the end of June and saw over 1400 runners from 34 different countries, compete in a truly unique event. Organised by Tusk in partnership with the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy and co-headline sponsored by telecoms giants Safaricom and Huawei, all funds raised from this unique event are invested directly into Tusk’s projects in Kenya – including the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy.
