16th May 2026
Tusk is delighted to be organising 'Trek for Tusk' for the second year running.
Have you always wanted to take on a challenge fundraiser for Tusk, but running isn’t your thing, making marathons like London, Bath, or Lewa feel out of reach? Why not swap running shoes for walking boots and trek along Dorset’s spectacular World Heritage coastline instead. Take meaningful steps to help protect wildlife and support communities in Africa — because every step truly counts.
The route:
You can choose between a 10km or half marathon distance. Trekkers make their way along the beautiful and undulating South West Coastal Path, crossing the finish line in Studland. Those who want to attempt the half marathon distance (which works out at just over 22km), will start at Worth Matravers and follow the path along the shore until they reach Studland, and the 10km route will start at Swanage and finish at Studland, so that the whole team can celebrate together! Don’t worry, there will be maps so you won’t get lost, as well as members of the Tusk team to guide you.
If you’re worried about fitness levels before signing up, you can see both elevation profiles (scroll to end) for both distances.
