BlueTusk cross the finish line in the Atlantic Ocean’s toughest row

After just over 5 weeks at sea, the BlueTusk trio have completed the world's toughest Atlantic row, raising funds for Tusk and the Blue Marine Foundation along the way.

The BlueTusk team formed of Chris Wood, David Tiplady and Aaron Kneebone set off on 13th December from the Canary Islands to cross the 3,000 miles to Antigua and Barbuda. Today, they have crossed the finish line, completing the challenge in an incredible 38 days, 18 hours and 29 minutes!  On top of placing sixth out of all the boats, they were championed as the winners of the trio category.

Reflecting on the race, Chris said it was “relentless but exhilarating” and Aaron commented that “you gain a zest for life and just how mother nature is so powerful. You can’t fight it, you just have to roll with it. It can be a life changing adventure.”

We are incredibly proud of the team and grateful they have chosen to support Tusk throughout this challenge, raising a fantastic amount! If you would like to show your appreciation then please donate here.
