Created 'Old, Bold and Gold' for the Tusk Turtle Trail 2025

Old, Bold and Gold

Tusk ambassador Hannah Shergold transitioned from a career flying helicopters in the British Army to one of an artist in 2018. Since then, her art has raised over £250,000 for Tusk. Her art embodies a passion for the natural world and a quirky, contemporary, colourful style.

“With a base of gold leaf, this piece represents the shimmering light of the underwater habitat whilst drawing attention to the plight of endangered species.”

About the Tusk Turtle Trail

The Tusk Turtle Trail is a vibrant public art exhibition highlighting the urgent need to protect our oceans and endangered sea turtles.

From July to September 2025, a flotilla of artist-designed turtle sculptures will appear across central London — each one a unique celebration of marine life and a call to action for conservation. You can follow the trail with our online map or download a printable map.

At the end of the trail, the turtles will be auctioned to raise vital funds for Tusk’s work protecting marine wildlife and ecosystems.
