Mauro Perucchetti

Created 'Around the World in 80 Days' for the Tusk Turtle Trail 2025

Around the World in 80 Days

Mauro Perucchetti’s work is a witty mix of Minimalism and Pop. His first major body of work, which was instigated by the medical research of the time on Cloning, explored the dilemma between Cloning and religion and medical ethics. Perucchetti decided to use Jelly Babies as a representation of cloned human beings. He has had notable solo shows, in some of the most iconic galleries across the world.

“I am a lover of nature and travel, both of which are under fire. We can choose where we go when we want to go but some can’t.”
Mauro Perucchetti

‘Around the World in 80 Days’ is sponsored by Aviva

About the Tusk Turtle Trail

The Tusk Turtle Trail is a vibrant public art exhibition highlighting the urgent need to protect our oceans and endangered sea turtles.

From July to September 2025, a flotilla of artist-designed turtle sculptures will appear across central London — each one a unique celebration of marine life and a call to action for conservation. You can follow the trail with our online map or download a printable map.

At the end of the trail, the turtles will be auctioned to raise vital funds for Tusk’s work protecting marine wildlife and ecosystems.
