Ronnie Wood

Created 'The Prodigal' for the Tusk Turtle Trail 2025

The Prodigal

Created by Ronnie Wood, legendary guitarist with The Rolling Stones, musician, songwriter, and artist, as accomplished with a paint brush as he is with his guitar. Classically trained at Ealing Art College, he has mastered a range of genres, from abstract to landscapes and portraits. Ronnie is Tusk’s longest standing ambassador having supported the charity for 30 years.

“I’m inspired by the way turtles navigate the mighty oceans and never forget the beach where they were born ~ to lay their own eggs as adults.”

About the Tusk Turtle Trail

The Tusk Turtle Trail is a vibrant public art exhibition highlighting the urgent need to protect our oceans and endangered sea turtles.

From July to September 2025, a flotilla of artist-designed turtle sculptures will appear across central London — each one a unique celebration of marine life and a call to action for conservation. You can follow the trail with our online map or download a printable map.

At the end of the trail, the turtles will be auctioned to raise vital funds for Tusk’s work protecting marine wildlife and ecosystems.
